Waste and sanitation services at the U.S. Embassy Baghdad
Four active waste and sanitation contracts at one of the most secure sites in the region.
The challenge
Every vehicle and worker must be vetted and listed on monthly access requests, waste must go only to approved municipal sites, and every service must be proven to the prime contractor. A missed collection or lapsed permit affects the whole compound.
What we did
- Sludge, wastewater and FOG removal with our vacuum tanker fleet since March 2024; also at Union III until September 2025.
- Bulk trash removal for 6.0 m³ dumpsters with compactor trucks since July 2026.
- Debris collection, hauling and disposal with a hook-lift truck since August 2026.
- Chemical latrine cleaning since August 2026.
- Monthly vehicle access requests, area permits and municipality disposal approvals prepared ahead of expiry.
- Two new water wells constructed at the Embassy Complex (February – June 2024).
Result
The work grew from one service in 2024 to four active contracts in 2026.
